1.  Because He has given us His Spirit, we know we are united to Him
2.  Because He has given us His Spirit, we have certain knowledge of Christ
3.  Because He has given us His Spirit, we are recipients of love
4.  Because He has given us His Spirit, we may have confidence in the Day of Judgement
5.  Because He has given us His Spirit, we are givers of love

DISCERNMENT:  TESTING THE SPIRITS
 
1 John 4:1-6
 
1. There are only two Spirits in teachers
2. You can tell the spirit of the teacher by the confession of Christ
3. Christians must test the spirits of teachers!
4. The gates of Hell itself will never prevail against God’s children!
